The Max Clifford trial is over. For now at least (apparently he’s considering an appeal) The man has been sentenced to 8 years in prison and will have to serve a minimum of 4 years before he gets out. For the nitty gritty details of the case google “Max Clifford trial” and all the info you could ask for will come up documenting the case. All I have to say is YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I didn’t think he’d get done at all, let alone get the 8 year sentence he was handed (which is still too short in my opinion. He could have received 2 years for every conviction and he should have got the full 16, but sadly this was better than what I expected him to get). Not because I didn’t think he was guilty- I did, he had waaay too many charges bought against him – but because of this whole vibe in the press of “should we really be trying to prosecute people for rape/molestation/paedophilia allegations from the _ (here’s where you pick a decade and insert ad infinitum)” I really, really, just don’t get that. Of course we should be going after these people. How can we not prosecute them? Do people really not understand how serious, damaging and life changing (and I mean in the breaking you the fuck down way) sexual assault/rape is? I find it really disturbing that people even question whether it’s the right thing to do. And even when he does get a guilty verdict his lawyers come out with this priceless piece of bullshit – that his history of charity work should be taken into account with regards to his sentencing. Are you having a fucking laugh? The only thing that needs to be taken into account is the fact that he molested and assaulted girls as young as 12, and a hefty bitch slap that knocked his teeth into space after being told to bend down and pick up the soap would not be enough to serve as justice for what he did.
